NEW ROLE GAME MODE: ASCENSION
Stalker's stronghold is under intense attack from marauding Corpus forces, but what they're after must remain safe.
You'll need to initiate an emergency evacuation before embarking on a grueling ascent through enemy-infested elevator shafts to the Extraction waiting for you above.

Visit the new Brutus hub on Uranus after completing the Jade Shadows Quest to help Ordis collect Vestigial Motes! This new mission, which is not endless, unfolds in three phases:
Phase 1 - Collecting
MotesCorpus has set up motes collectors to extract energy from the air - Ordis has taken them over, so you must defend them while they complete the extraction!
Phase 2 - Ascension
Once you've extracted the Motes, they need to be transported up into their extraction capsule! You do this by powering the elevator using ionic capsules placed around the map or dropped by enemies. As you approach them, they will be marked with a small green waypoint! Look out for extra glowing Boosted Ionic Capsules, which provide an extra power and speed boost. Once you've picked them up, use Alternative Fire to throw them at the Extraction Capsule to get more power for your ascent!
Players can keep up with the ever-increasing gameplay with increased jump height (thanks to a special Air Support deployed by Ordis) and via jump pads on different platforms. If you should be unlucky enough to fall to the bottom of the map, you can use the bounce pad at the bottom of the elevator to catch up to its height.
Bonus Objective:
Along with the ion pods, players can encounter sister beacons hidden around the map, which can be recognized by the soft pinging sound they emit when you approach them.
Collect three of them to summon a Parvos sister, which will spawn when you reach the top of the elevator shaft. If you defeat the sister, you get 5-7 Vestigial Motes and a chance to get a new Arcane, listed below (8-10 Motes and a guaranteed Arcane on Steel Path). Sisters of Parvos will also drop Steel Essence in Steel Path Ascension missions.
Phase 3 - Extraction
Once you've reached the top, escort the extraction pod safely to extraction and defend it from Corpus enemies along the way! If enemies manage to deplete the Extraction Pod's health, its momentum will stop briefly and its health will regenerate, after which it will continue on its way again.

Rewards
Successfully completing an Ascension mission will award players with 11-13 Vestigial Motes (16-18 on Steel Path), as well as a reward from the mission drop table, including:
- Jade’s Component Blueprints
- Endo
- Relics
- Harmony Blueprint
- Cantare Blueprint
- Evensong Blueprint
Releasing Vestigial Motes
Visit Ordis in the Larunda Relay on Mercury during Operation: Belly of the Beast to exchange Vestigial Motes for various wares, including:
- Jade Main and Component Blueprints
- Harmony Blueprint
- Cantare Blueprint
- Evensong Blueprint
- New Arcanes (read on below to learn more!)
Once Operation: Belly of the Beast ends, Ordis will relocate to the Drifter Camp and offer his wares there. He finally got a job!
